Young Catholic Adults in Katua

In St. Monica Njiru Parish, the Young Adults Catholic Association (YACA), now known as the Young Catholic Adults (YCA), was established in 2017 under the guidance of Fr. Salamu. He served as the Patron, a position he held till his departure.

Katua was one of the pioneers across the 5 Outstations in the Parish. YCA in Katua started with three members from 2017 to 2020. Through a continuous recruitment drive, the membership grew to 45 members by the year 2024.

Since its establishment in 2017, the Youth Catholic Association (YCA) has been managed by the Parish Office. This meant representations from each of the five Outstations in the Parish Committee.

From 2017 to 2021, Emily Wanja Kaburu served as the representative for St. John the Baptist Katua in the Parish Committee. From 2021, Outstations were granted permission to form their own Executive Committees.
